Smitten with the zippy designs of yesteryear, I started making amp cabinets for myself and my pals a few years back. Oddly enough, folks seem to like what I was doing. I suppose you could call it amp art; I just call it my odd hobby. In the amp museum, you can see the cabinets born in my laboratory, matched to varied brands of guitar amplifiers. Since each cabinet is a meld of anachronistic hardware and the mood I am in, no two can really ever be the same.
    Lately I have gravitated toward making cabinets specifically for Epiphone Valve Jr’s, a very affordable class A (loud!) all tube amp. The electro wizards out there have been inventing modification kits for these amps, so they are easily hot-rodded to suit personal tonal preferences.
